Community Relations

The Community Relations Department of Rio Grande State Center and the Citizens Volunteer Council for Rio Grande State Center have been busy the first 6 months of FY17. During the holidays, the CVC board members, volunteers, donors, RGSC employees, and several community groups and businesses worked together to provide gifts for each state supported living center resident and each patient in the psychiatric hospital on Christmas Day. During Thanksgiving, the CVC provided baskets of food to 5 families of the outpatient clinic. Volunteers and staff worked hard to create a festive, fun time throughout the month. Volunteer groups and a special visit from Santa made everything extra special.
